Akasha Richmond
Akasha Richmond has spent most of her career as a self-taught chef and baker, as well as owner of a catering business and a personal chef to Michael Jackson. The celebrated culinary talent opened her first concept AKASHA in 2008, now a Culver City staple, which serves California and New American cuisine influenced by her travels around the world: Southeast Asia, Bali, Australia, as well as Eastern and Western Europe. A longstanding affinity for the cuisine of India inspired the June, 2015 opening of Sāmbār, a restaurant whose seasonal palate introduces diners to exotic and vibrant flavors and sustainable ingredients.
